Licensing
Plain-English terms for anything you buy from the photo gallery or the footage library. Buying a file means agreeing to what is on this page.
Photo licences
Every image in the gallery is available as a free watermarked preview. Paid options remove the watermark and deliver the full-resolution file.
Digital, personal use
For your own enjoyment: phone and desktop wallpaper, personal social posts, prints you make for your own home, gifts to friends and family.
Not for any business, listing, advertisement or paid publication.
Digital, commercial use
For business use: property listings, advertising, brochures, websites, editorial and social media promoting a product, service or organisation.
Covers the buying business. Does not transfer copyright or grant exclusivity.
Physical prints
- 5×7 — $8
- 8×10 — $12
- 11×14 — $25
- 13×19 — $30
Prints are scaled and cropped to fit the size you choose, so the framing may differ slightly from the preview. Local pickup and digital delivery are free; shipped prints add a flat $10 per order. Alabama sales tax is applied at checkout.
Video licences
Clips in the footage library are sold under a standard commercial licence at the price shown on each clip. On purchase you receive unwatermarked, high-resolution download links by email.
What the licence allows
- Use of the footage in your own finished production — advertising, social media, broadcast, corporate or editorial work.
- Editing, colour grading, cropping, speed changes and cutting into a larger edit.
- Unlimited duration and unlimited territory for the production it is used in.
What it does not allow
- No resale of raw files. The clip may not be redistributed, resold, sublicensed or uploaded to any stock footage library.
- No use that presents the footage itself as the product being sold.
- No transfer of the licence to a third party without written permission.
Terms that apply to everything
Copyright
Dixie Aerial Photography Inc. retains copyright in all images and footage. Buying a file buys a licence to use it, not ownership of it.
Credit
Credit is appreciated but not required. Where it is practical, “Dixie Aerial” is the preferred wording.
Watermarked previews
Free watermarked downloads are for preview and personal sharing only. Removing, cropping out or editing over the watermark is not permitted.
Delivery
Digital files and download links are emailed to the address used at checkout, normally within minutes of a completed order. If nothing arrives, check spam and then get in touch with your transaction ID.
Refunds
Digital files cannot be returned once downloaded. If a file is faulty, will not open, or is not what the preview showed, contact us and it will be replaced or refunded.
Commissioned work
Licensing for booked shoots is agreed per project and set out in the job quote. These gallery terms do not override the terms of a commissioned job.
Favorites and your email
Tapping the heart on a photo saves it in your own browser. Nothing leaves your device and no account is needed — clearing your browsing data clears your favorites.
If you choose to use the “another device” option, we store two things: the email address you type, and the list of photos you hearted. That is all. We use the address only to send you the sign-in link and to match your favorites when you come back — never for marketing, and we do not pass it to anyone. Ask us and we will delete it.
